Unforeseen Ascension: Ruto Likens Ogolla Truce With ICC Trouble

President William Ruto graphical narrative of how and why he promoted departed General Francis Ogolla as CDF has surprised both friend and foe.

Ruto, in a no-holds-barred address to Kenyans, compared Ogolla’s tribulations to his personal ordeal and the Hague.

In essence, the President stopped short of saying that Ogolla was coerced to storm Bomas, by other forces uncomfortable with his Presidential win over Raila Odinga.

President Ruto has previously blamed Raila Odinga and the late President Mwai Kibaki for framing him over the 2007 post election violence.

He said he promoted Ogolla after realising he was an honest man.

“We had a man to man, eye ball to eye ball conversation. I was shocked when the General informed me I was free to court martial him, retire him or promote him. I decided to do the latter”, President Ruto said.

Raila Odinga has urged the Kenya Kwanza Givernment to expunge allegations that fallen General Francis Ogolla attempted to overturn their August 8th win.

Raila said Ogolla could never do such a treasonable offence and said its only fair for the General to be exonerated.
