President Ruto Reshuffles PSs; Belio Kipsang Exits Education Docket

President William Ruto has made changes in the public service following approvals from the Public Service Commission (PSC), promoting, appointing, and reassigning several top government officials.

Major Promotions and Appointments

Among the most notable promotions, Mr. Amos Gathecha has been elevated from Principal Secretary for Public Service to Deputy Head of the Public Service in the Executive Office of the President. Additionally, Prof. Edward Kisiang’ani has been appointed as a Senior Advisor and Member of the President’s Council of Economic Advisors.

New Principal Secretary Nominations

The President has also nominated 13 individuals for Principal Secretary positions across various ministries, subject to parliamentary approval. Some key nominations include:

• Ms. Regina Akoth Ombam â€“ State Department for Trade

• Dr. Oluga Fredrick Ouma â€“ State Department for Medical Services
