President William Ruto has welcomed the plan by the African Export-Import Bank (Afriexim Bank) to set up an office in Nairobi.
The President met officials of the bank led by its president Benedict Oramah at State House, Nairobi on Thursday.
“This will allow us to expand our engagement with the bank on several investment areas such as infrastructure, housing, the creative industry and the MSMEs ecosystem,” Ruto said.

Afriexim Bank is a pan-African multilateral trade finance institution created in 1993 under the auspices of the African Development Bank.
The bank’s headquarters is in Cairo, Egypt. It aims to be a leader in trade finance for Africa.
