President Uhuru Kenyatta has officially opened the Soweto Level 2 hospital and Community Water Supply projects in Kayole, Nairobi County.
The two projects are among several other similar initiatives being rolled out by the National Government through the Nairobi Metropolitan Service (NMS) so as to bring essential services closer to Nairobi residents.
The launch comes just weeks after Uhuru presided over the launch of two other medical centers; Kiamaiko and Uthiru.
Kiamaiko Dispensary is a Level 2 health facility focused on preventive and promotive health services such as the monitoring of pregnant mothers antenatal profile, children growth and welfare, community nutrition, family planning, health strategy and chronic illnesses such HIV.
Uthiru-Muthua Hospital has a 16 In Patient Bed Capacity, Maternity Theatre, New Born Unit, Digital X Ray Unit with a capacity to conduct 100 sessions a day and an ultramodern sonography machine with capacity to do 50 complex obstetric scans amongst other sonographic imaging.
