Presidential Outcome Expected Today As Results Verification Ends

The five-day verification of results forms concluded on Monday, with the Commission poised to announce the results of the August 9 elections.

On Monday morning, the 15 verification tables at the Bomas of Kenya were vacant.

After concluding paper work, only a few tables are filled by clerks indulging in low-tone chat.

By 9 a.m., both the Azimio and Kenya Kwanza seats in the auditorium were full.

Foreign envoys and diplomats were also seated as early as 8.30 a.m., indicating that a proclamation could be made today.

Security personnel are also stationed around the auditorium, adjacent locations, and at the main gate.

Kenya Kwanza and Azimio are both there at the location, waiting for the major announcement by IEBC chair Wafula Chebukati.
