Prime CS Mudavadi Says Kenya Kwanza Government Has No Time For Lamentations

Mudavadi predicts a difficult two to three year period for the economy before it begins to stabilise.

Prime Cabinet Secretary (CS) Musalia Mudavadi says the Kenya Kwanza administration has no time to lament the country’s poor economic state and must find solutions to the country’s current problems.

Mudavadi predicts a difficult two to three year period for the economy before it begins to stabilise.

The Prime Minister was speaking at the annual delegates conference and celebration of the Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) 25th silver jubilee.

“As a nation we must now think away from continously taxing the people of Kenya to start looking at what are the other areas we can make a saving and raise resources and get money into the system so that we can release resources to lessen the burden our teachers are facing,” he said.

“I want to enlist you to support us to make these tough decisions so that we can have more resources to go into the education of our children and your pockets as we move forward.

The Prime CS further underscored that it is not the right time to talk about who put the signature to what document but to work collectively to resolve the country’s economic problems.
