Laikipia County Relocates Its Headquarters From Nanyuki To Rumuruti

Relief to Residents of Laikipia County as the county government’s headquarters have officially been relocated from Nanyuki town to Rumuruti, a central location that promises to bring services closer to the people and open up new economic opportunities.

Residents, particularly those from Laikipia West, previously had to travel hundreds of kilometres to Nanyuki for even basic services.

“Residents no longer have to travel long distances to seek government services,” said Governor Joshua Irungu at the official opening of the new headquarters.

The business community is also buzzing with excitement about the relocation. They foresee a ripple effect, with Rumuruti experiencing significant economic growth as more government departments, businesses, and residents move in.
