PSC To Gift Ksh 100,000 To Kenyan Who Best Names New Parliamentary Building

The Parliamentary Service Commission has offered a Ksh.100,000 prize for the best name for a new multi-storey office building.

The Commission invited interested Kenyans to participate in the naming competition by submitting their name proposals in a notice published in local dailies on Monday.

“The commission would like to invite interested citizens to participate in a naming competition to find an appropriate name for the new multi-storey office block,” read the notice signed by the Commission’s Parliamentary Joint Services director-general.

“The name must be catchy, reflect the values of the institution of parliament and its stature.”

To enter the competition, interested Kenyans should download the submission forms from the parliament’s website and return the completed copy to the tender box at Parliament by next Monday, June 20.

You can also send it to Parliament’s procurement office via email.

The Parliamentary Service Commission designed the block, which is located next to Parliament buildings between Continental House and County Hall.

The project was managed by China Jiangxi Construction Company and cost Ksh.5.8 billion. It stands 125 meters tall and is one of the city’s tallest buildings.
