Queen Elizabeth II’s only daughter, Princess Anne, has paid tribute to her “dearest mother”.
In a statement, the Princess Royal thanked those “who share our sense of loss” following the Queen’s death.
She added that “we may have been reminded how much of her presence and contribution to our national identity we took for granted”.
Princess Anne has accompanied her mother’s coffin since it left Balmoral on Sunday.
On Tuesday it arrived in London, it will stay overnight at Buckingham Palace, before moving on Wednesday to Westminster Hall, where the Queen will lie in state for four days.
