Raila Odinga To Stage 7-Day Vigil At Supreme Court

They will begin with a church service at AIC Olympic at 11 a.m., followed by a public rally at Kibra's Kamukunji grounds at 1 p.m.

The Azimio La Umoja Coalition party has scheduled a series of events to begin on Sunday, August 28.

Raila’s press secretary, Dennis Onsarigo, said coalition members will hold a peaceful seven-day vigil at the Supreme Court and all IEBC offices across the country.

“All Azimio leaders, including MCAs, are hereby requested to convene at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation offices in Nairobi County at 9 a.m. on August 28, 2022, for a briefing,” he said.

They will begin with a church service at AIC Olympic at 11 a.m., followed by a public rally at Kibra’s Kamukunji grounds at 1 p.m.

The Azimio coalition petitioned the Supreme Court to overturn the presidential election results in which DP William Ruto was declared the winner.

The court’s seven-judge panel will issue its decision on September 5, 2022, fourteen days after the petition was filed.
