The ODM leader has now urged his Luo community to ignore leaders and politicians who support his exit from politics.
Raila claimed that many of the politicians who demanded his resignation from active politics were unaware of what happened in the presidential election on August 9.
He stated that his age should not be used to exclude him from Kenyan politics.
“Some people keep telling me to go back to Bondo.
“Don’t give them your ears because they don’t understand I know the road to Bondo better than they do,” said Raila
Raila who lost his fifth election bid to President William Rut has received criticism from some politicians in his Nyanza backyard, while others have told him to return to his village home in Bondo constituency.
There has been a lot of pressure on him to step down and let others take over.
Former governors Jack Ranguma (Kisumu) and Okoth Obado (Migori), former Kisumu Senator Fred Outa, former MPs Omondi Anyanga (Nyatike), Martin Ogindo (Rangwe), Nicholas Gumbo (Rarieda), and former Lake Basin Development Authority chairman Odoyo Owidi have all criticized Raila’s continued political involvement.
