Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga has challenged President William Ruto to face him in Kenya rather than travel to Germany to discuss him.
Raila demanded that Ruto open the servers containing the election results and show what was inside, referring to the contested presidential election in 2022, which Ruto narrowly won.
“Hakuna haja ya Bwana Ruto kwenda ujerumani kuongea kuhusu Raila, kuja tuongee hapa Kenya. Kuja fungua server tuone ni nini iko ndani ya server,” Raila said.
Raila was speaking during a meeting with Kibra constituency leaders, Christian and Muslim clergy, on Wednesday.
He said that they were all in agreement that the peaceful coexistence that has defined the constituency must continue. He also stated that he has always been an advocate for Nubian land rights.
Raila’s Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Coalition Party has been protesting across the country, demanding electoral reform and justice.
According to Raila, Azimio is committed to peaceful protests and urged his supporters not to use violence.
The Azimio team also met with Kibra traders whose businesses were destroyed after a mosque and a church were set on fire on Monday night.
He claimed that the chaos was planned and funded by outsiders who wished to divide the community along religious lines.
He urged Muslims and Christians to live peacefully together and to resist attempts to incite them.
