CJ Koome: Judiciary Ready To Work With DPP Mulele

Chief Justice Martha Koome has stated that the judiciary is eager to collaborate with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).

She stated that this would allow stakeholders in the justice sector to carry out their mandates more effectively.

Koome’s statement came the day after Renson Mulele, the new Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), was sworn in at the State House.

“We stand ready to collaborate, partner and work with ODPP to deliver on its mandate together with broader stakeholders in the justice sector, under the auspices of the National Council on the Administration of Justice (NCAJ),” she stated.

The Supreme Court President stated that the NCAJ shared a vision of a just and effective justice system.

Mulele succeeded Noordin Haji, who left the ODPP after being appointed as the new Director General of the National Intelligence Service by President William Ruto.

He will serve an eight-year term.
