Rescuers retrieving occupants of a vehicle that veered off Mai Mahiu road got treated to a near-death experience when a Transline owned matatu lost control and drove into the same accident scene.
The early afternoon incident has so far not claimed any lives yet, but several of the injured were taken to the nearby health facilities while others were offered first aid at the scene of the accident.
This comes in the wake of increased surveillance by the authorities that are aimed to tame rogue road users in the country.
Police inspector Hillary Mutyambai has so far deployed the Police Airwing to assist the Kenya Police in executing their mandate on the roads, as well as the National Transport and Safety Authority.
