Kigame: Candidates With Disability Scorned

Presidential Candidate Reuben Kigama has accused IEBC of discriminating against virtually challenged candidates.

In a live interview on Citizen TV, Kigame says the virtually handicapped cannot confirm an identity card and therefore asking them to collect 1000 signatures is discriminative.

“When thinking about inclusivity we need to go all the way. I don’t think the government is involving persons with disability in advising them on what needs to be done “

Speaking during the live debate on disability and politics, Kigame said he will not discriminate if elected President.

Kigame said Kenyans should elect people with disabilities because they are best suited to lead.

“Kenyans need to elect people on wheel chair, the blind, the lame. The down trodden. They are Kenyans.”

Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi, on a wheel chair following a near fatal gun attack in Ngara says he will win with a land slide.

Next Government must give more voting rights to those living with disability.
