A 24-year-old man was charged in court for allegedly threatening to kill his mother before evicting her from her home.
Ethan Chege is accused of making murder threats to Anastacia Ndunge at her home in Ruai, Njiru Sub County, Nairobi on March 6.
The court heard Mr Chege remarked to his mother, “nitakukatakata kama mboga,” which the police and prosecutors think are death threats to his mother.
Mr Chege was also charged with causing a commotion likely to cause a breach of order in violation of Section 95 (1) of the Penal Code after allegedly chasing Ms. Ndunge from her house on the same date.
He is also facing charges of having narcotics contrary to Section 3 (1) of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Control Act of 1994 after he was allegedly found with bhang worth Sh4,900 at the time of his arrest on March 24.
On the material date, the accused person is alleged to have returned home and found his mother in the house together with other relatives and warned them that he did not want to see anyone around.
