Rudiger Set For Real Madrid

Real Madrid have agreed to sign Germany international defender Antonio Rudiger on a free transfer, both clubs announced on Thursday.

Rudiger’s contract with Premier League club Chelsea is set to expire at the end of the season.

Rudiger will stay at Real for the next four seasons, according to the LaLiga winners, who will also have a presentation ceremony for him on June 20.

Since joining Chelsea from AS Roma in 2017, the 29-year-old has been a key figure for the Blues.

Rudiger remarked on Twitter, “I’m incredibly excited for all the challenges ahead and can’t wait to play my first games for this huge club.”

“One of the most passionate individuals to represent the club in recent memory,” Chelsea said of Rudiger.

Rudiger played more than 200 times in all competitions for Chelsea and won the Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup with the London club.
