Ruto Flies Kenya Airways As Gachagua Skips Welcoming Party

President William Ruto returned to the country on Monday morning after attending the G7 and Ukraine Peace summits in Italy and Switzerland.
President William Ruto was attending the G7 and Ukraine Peace Conferences in Italy and Switzerland.

Senior government officials, including Interior Secretary Kithure Kindiki and Police Superintendent Raymond Omollo, greeted him.

Others were Kenya Air Force Commander Major General Fatuma Ahmed, National Assembly and Senate majority leaders Kimani Ichung’wah and Aaron Cheruiyot, among others.

Netizens were quick to note the new flight choice after his Ksh 10 Million private jet saga.

President Ruto had visited the US on a hired Private Jet which he alleged was discounted to him as part of a wider friendship with other leaders.

His KQ flight also follows a similar scenario when the Deputy President abandoned his KDF aircrafts to travel business class on board a KQ flight to Mombasa.
Gachagua himself was also missing from the welcoming party despite seeing the President off on Thursday.
