President William Ruto has left the country for Tanzania to attend the Africa Food Systems Summit.
According to a statement released by State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohammed on Tuesday, Ruto will join his colleagues at the 13th summit to discuss food security issues on the African continent.
Sustainability and agricultural innovation will also be highlighted at the event, which will be hosted by President Samia Suluhu.
The Summit began on September 5 and will conclude on Friday, September 8.
“The Africa Food Systems Forum brings together a diverse group of stakeholders, including experts, policymakers, and representatives from various sectors of the food industry,” read the Summits programme.
“Networking and Partnerships The forum serves as a unique platform for CEOs to build meaningful connections and partnerships within the food and agriculture sector.”
It is still unclear, whether Ruto will be getting back today or after the conclusion of the Summit.
