Deputy President William Ruto has lead Kenyans in mourning Veteran journalist Hillary Ng’weno who passed on.
Ruto said Ng’weno pioneered robust, independent profound and rich journalism that deepened nascent post-independence democracy and cast a brilliant spotlight on government and governance.
“I join Kenyans in mourning the passing of this icon, appreciating his abundant contributions, and comforting his family for the loss of a great man. May he rest in eternal peace,” he morned.
The DP termed the journalist as the father of Kenyan journalism whose career began as a brilliant scribe but he firmly established himself as a towering journalist and a historian of tremendous power.
