Sagana 3: Uhuru consolidates Central leaders to Support BBI reforms

President Uhuru Kenyatta has called on Kenyans to support the BBI's legal reform process, explaining its benefits to countries, especially counties where resources will be widely distributed when the process is approved.

Meanwhile, President Kenyatta has called on Kenyans to beware of politicians who oppose the BBI's procedure saying they have no truth in their objections to the pro-majority movement.

“The BBI is about allocating more resources locally. Kenyans should not be deceived by some politicians who oppose this document for the purpose of furthering their personal interests while ignoring the benefits of the document.

“For example, is it wrong to distribute more resources in the county. And if they are not wrong, why are they opposing the BBI document, ”the President asked.

The president made the remarks on Saturday at Sagana State House where he addressed more than 7,000 leaders from Mount Kenya and neighboring counties on his second working visit to the area.
Contrary to popular belief, President Kenyatta said he consulted extensively and reached out to various stakeholders before launching the BBI, which aims to protect the rights and freedoms of every Kenyan.

"Given the in-depth consultation, it is clear that the BBI will unite the country, maintain peace as well as ensure equality, eliminate inequality and bring about justice," President Kenyatta told delegates, including business, social, women, youth and youth leaders. other different groups.

Once again, the Head of State reiterated his commitment to abandon the legacy of a peaceful and united country where every Kenyan will enjoy their social, economic and political rights without fear of interference, saying the BBI will help achieve that goal.

"I would like to leave the country in a position where leaders are accountable for their actions and no one will use force to violate the rights of citizens," said President Kenyatta.

The president urged politicians to stop using young people to provoke violence, saying instead they should involve them in finding a lasting solution to their challenges as proposed by the BBI.
