Sakaja, Wanjiru Clash In UDA Rally

Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja and Bishop Margaret Wanjiru brought a ‘Kenya Kwanza’ rally to a stop, as supporters heckled the bishop.

According to witnesses, Sakaja’s fans reportedly booed the Bishop as she was addressing the crowd.

During a vote-hunting tour of Nairobi, a visibly agitated Wanjiru speaks animatedly while gesticulating with her arms in a video that has since gone viral.

Bishop Wanjiru, who is running for mayor on the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket, accused Sakaja of inciting his supporters to violence.

“I deserve respect, we’re both leaders here in Nairobi,” Wanjiru said.

Sakaja did not respond to her accusations, but took to the mic urging the crowd to give all of the contenders a chance to pitch their platforms.

The alliance of the ANC, Ford Kenya, and the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has put the two leaders vying for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat, on a collision path
