Police officers have recovered more firearms in a multi-agency security operation in Samburu County.
The ongoing operation in Samburu County that is being conducted by a Multi-Agency Security team has continued to register success as more illegal firearms continue to be voluntarily surrendered.
“Yesterday, one illegal AK47 rifle and one magazine loaded with 5 rounds of ammunition were surrendered by a public member from Bendera Village through the Deputy County Commissioner of Samburu North.” Police said.
The National Police Service has urged the general populace to work with security organizations in the continuing initiatives to restore peace and security in Disturbed and Dangerous Areas.
