Kitui Deputy Governor Augustine Kanani has urged residents to embrace the culture of saving in order to better their livelihoods.
The DG called on the people of Kitui to form and join Saccos so as to access credit facilities for investment in income-generating ventures.
He was speaking during the Annual General Meeting for members of Kitui Bestrock Sacco Ltd, at Kitui Multipurpose Development Training Institute earlier today where he was the chief guest.
He was accompanied by Chief Officer for Cooperatives & Citizen Group Economic Empowerment Intiatiatives Paul Ngei Monyi.
Also present was the Sacco’s Chairperson Francis Muli Kithae and CEO Michael Mutua, among others.
