Section of Ngong Road to be closed Sunday

The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) has disclosed that a section of Ngong Road will be closed on Sunday, June 30, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

In a notice Wednesday, KURA Director General Eng. Silas Kinoti noted that closure will be at the Coptic Hospital and it was meant to facilitate the installation of a footbridge.

“The Kenya Urban Roads Authority wishes to notify the general public that a section of Ngong Road at the Coptic Hospital will be closed on Sunday, 30th June, 2024, as from 6 am to 6 pm. This is to facilitate the installation of footbridge crossing,” Eng. Kinoti stated.

The KURA boss advised motorists coming from Prestige Plaza and those from Daystar University roundabout to seek alternative routes.

He said that police and traffic marshals will be on site to guide motorists and ensure a smooth flow of traffic.

“KURA urges motorists to drive with caution as they approach this section. We request the public to exercise patience as we strive towards transforming urban mobility,” Eng. Kinoti added.
