Security has been tightened at the ongoing Africa Deaflympics Ball Games Qualifiers at Kasarani’s Moi International Sports Centre (MISC) and Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi.
Police are using interpreters to guide the participants of the session, which is one of the own.
The event was officially opened yesterday by sports CS Amina Mohamed with delegations from 11 countries in attendance.
No spectators are allowed into the events.
The fanfare and celebration happened in a virtually empty stadium in line with the Ministry of Health Covid-19 guidelines which restrict spectators from attending sporting events.
