A man who was caught by DCI sleuths a month ago for the gruesome murder of Veronica Kanini, a Nakuru-based businesswoman, led them to two more graves where he had buried other victims yesterday.
Moses Kipchirchir Ruto, 34, led officers from Mogotio to two shallow graves where he had buried a woman thought to be his wife and her son.
Moses Ruto revealed the information after being questioned by cops who were sceptical that Kanini was the suspect’s sole victim.
Ruto finally admitted to killing Purity Chebet, 24, and her one-and-a-half-year-old son Ezra on December 26 after hours of questioning.
He murdered them in early September and buried their bodies near the banks of the Molo River in Mogotio, only yards from where he would eventually bury Kanini.
After digging through the spot, the decomposed remains of mother and son were exhumed, a few metres from where Kanini’s body was discovered on November 24.
The suspect is believed to have been in a clandestine love affair with Kanini, before they fell out after Kanini told him that she had found another man.
Ruto, who was not pleased with the breakup, killed Kanini in cold blood.
However, detectives believe the guy is responsible for further murders.
Meanwhile, on January 21, 2022, the suspect will enter a plea for the murder of Veronica Kanini.
