At least Seven persons have died in a grisly accident near the Kalama Community Conservancy, Along the Isiolo – Moyale route.
Samburu East Deputy OCPD, Juma Boy, who confirmed the incident to local media, said the seven people died instantly and seven others had sustained serious injuries.
According to eyewitness accounts, the car was speeding when it went off the road and started rolling.
The 15 were going to Samburu to celebrate an election victory when the unfortunate happened.
“Preliminary report show majority of them were from Lorubae within Archers Post and were to meet the politician at Leerata for celebrations,” Mr. Juma told the media.
Juma asked drivers to be mindful of the roads despite the excitement surrounding the outcome of the general elections.
