Sicily Kariuki, the Cabinet Secretary for Water and Sanitation, has resigned.
In an early morning address to the media, CS Kariuki declared his intention to run for the Nyandarua gubernatorial seat currently held by Francis Kimemia.
President Uhuru Kenyatta’s close buddy, the CS, is eyeing the ruling Jubilee Party ticket and has vowed to go where her party leader points.
Kariuki, the Permanent Secretary for Agriculture, is a business sector specialist who polished her abilities as the FPEAK head.
She has served in key institutions such as the Ministry of Health.
