Edwin Sifuna, the Secretary-General of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), will run for Senator of Nairobi County once more.
On Thursday, the ODM spokesperson declared that he will run for the Senate seat that he lost in 2017 to incumbent Senator Johnson Sakaja. Sifuna hopes to acquire the privilege to fly his party’s flag after primaries, just as he did four years ago.
“I shall vote at Loresho Primary School in the Westlands Constituency from now on.” On the ODM ticket, I will run for the Nairobi County Senatorial seat in 2022. “#Inawezekana,” he declared on his Twitter account.
Sifuna received 662,267 votes in 2017, while his main rival, Sakaja, received 796,100 votes.
