Signet launches 10 new Digital Transmission sites in Kenya

BY PRUDENCE WANZA – Signet has launched 10 new transmission sites that are expected to significantly boost Kenya’s digital broadcasting capacity across the country.


In a notice to broadcasters, signet now has a new state of the art transmission sites in; Kitui, Lamu, Kwale, Kilifi, Nyahururu, Maralal, Wajir, Webuye, Siaya, and Hola.

The official launch of the new sites took place at Kasyala in Kitui County on October 24, 2019.

Signet is Kenya’s premier public digital signal distribution platform serving all broadcasters in the country with the role of ensuring all areas in the country enjoy a high-quality broadcast signal.

Signet a subsidiary of the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation distributes signals of over 40 channels in the country.
