Detectives at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Tuesday seized 630 grammes of heroin valued at about Sh2 million concealed in calabashes destined for Canada.
The consignment was concealed in a cargo written African calabash and was from Nairobi when it was detected at the local DHL offices.
Police say no arrest has been made and the people who had dispatched it cannot be located.
Efforts to get them are ongoing.
Cases of seizure of heroin have been on the rise in the region, seen as the main transit point for the narcotics to Europe and other markets.
