A man with Somalian Origin was today charged in a Nairobi court for obtaining registration as a Kenyan citizen by false pretense. – By Meshack Makau
Abdinur Mohammed Bule alias Noor Olow Mohamed was accused that being a Somali national, willfully and by false pretences procured registration as a Kenyan citizen and was issued with a Kenyan Identity card in the names of Noor Olow Mohamed.
He allegedly committed the offence on October 14, 2016 at Mandera East Registrar office.
Bule also faced another charge of being in the country illegally and without any valid pass on January 20, 2021 at International house in Nairobi.
He denied the charges before Milimani Law Courts Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku. The accused pleaded for lenient bond terms. The court released him on Ksh. 500,000 bond with an alternative cash bail of Ksh. 300,000.
He was also ordered to present two Kenyan sureties.
The case will be mentioned on February 8.
