The Kamba community has decided to rescue Mike Sonko from Jubillee after the ruling party sacrificed him.
MPS from the three Ukambani Counties are pressurising Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka to accommodate Sonko in Wiper…the biggest political party in Ukambani.
Sonko is a political loose Canon, but is an immensely popular figure in Kenya.
Sonko was key to the election and re-election of President Kenyatta in 2013 and 2017 respectively.
Unlike another Jubilee outcast, former Kiambu Governor Ferdinard Waititu, Sonko has a near fanatical following among the youth…they idolise him over his fancy, carefree, get rich quickly demenour.
The Kamba leaders want Sonko to contest the vacant Machakos Governor’s seat, left vacant by the death of Boniface Kabaka.
Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka is said to have no problem with Sonko joining Wiper.
Sonko is close to DP William Ruto. The former Governor is however not in a hurry to rub President Kenyatta the wrong way.
He knows Uhuru is a ruthless politician, capable of neutralising him.politically.
Sonko, who for all intents and purposes comes from the Urbanite tribe, may be forced to cow back to his fatherland.
His Dad is from Kangundo. But is buried at the Sonko’s home in Mua Hills.
