Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi has stated that he is not in negotiations with the leaders of the One Kenya Alliance (Oka).
Muturi told the reporters after the Democratic Party’s (DP) National Executive Council meeting in a Nairobi hotel that Oka principals had merely come to wish him well after his surgery.
“Only the DP’s top decision-making apparatus has the authority to decide whether or not I should engage other parties in coalition discussions. As an individual, I am unable to make that decision “Muturi remarked.
Francis Munyao, the party’s leader, was there, as were representatives from the various sections.
Munyao stated that the party will have a National Delegates Congress this week to explore coalition issues.
