Four police officers have been charged with the killing of the Ksh 72 million Nairobi ATM heist mastermind on March 24, 2020.
The four; Joseph Ojode Obambo, Henry Mutai, Bashir Ali and Charles Kirimi were today arraigned in court and charged with one count of murder.
The four police officers alleged that on the 24th of March 2020 at Kayole Junction area within Nairobi County jointly killed Wycliffe Vincent Odour.
Wycliff Oduor was gunned down in March 2020. Oduor was out on a cash bail 0f 500,000 shillings bond following his arrest and subsequent arraignment over a 2019 incident where he is said to have led a team of criminals that stole 72 million shillings from a Standard Chartered Bank ATM in Nairobi
They all pleaded not guilty and were remanded at Nairobi Remand Prison.
The four have applied to be released on bond pending a hearing and determination of their case.
It is their argument that if released on the bond they will not abscond court.
The matter will be heard on the 17th and 18th of August this year with the mention set for June 22, 2022
