Heavy rains and strong winds pounding Siaya county in western Kenya have blown off the roof of a classroom.
The incident occured at Mudhiero Mixed Secondary School in Ugunja, shortly after KCSE examinations scheduled for day one, had been concluded.
According to the Siaya County Director of Education Joseph Wamocho, the affected students, who were not in class during the incident, were relocated and prior arrangements made in order to have the students continue with their examinations without interruptions.
A total of 19,554 candidates are sitting for their exams in the 247 registerd examination centres.
