A Sudanese National was this morning arraigned at the Milimani Law courts for allegedly obtaining money  by false pretense – By Enock Mukoma.
Almuhabraqipalhar Abbas Mohamed Zain was arraigned before chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku in Nairobi.
The offence is said to have happened within Nairobi CBD in Nairobi county between 10th sept 2019 and 14th march 2020.
He is accused that with intent to defraud the accused Knowingly obtained USD 55,000 from Mansour Khamis Salmon Bin Qatran by falsely pretending that he was in a position to assist him open and operate a recruitment agency named ANWA ALJAZIRAH RECRUITMENT COMPANY.
The defense council Mr. Cheloti asked the court to grant him same bail term as the accused was still canvassing similar matters in the court.
He argued that his client was randomly arrested and finger prints taken without subjecting him to due process.
More affidavits were to be filed, prompting the judge to postpone the matter until later in the day when she was scheduled to rule on bail applications.
