Oscar Sudi, a Kapseret MP, and Caleb Kositany, a Soy MP, have denied charges that they were involved in the stoning of Raila Odinga’s entourage in Kabenes, Soy Uasin Gishu county.

Sudi told the reporters in Eldoret town on Sunday that he immediately contacted Odinga, Suna MP Junet Mohammed, and Babu Owino following the Friday event.

“Kando na siasa, sisi wote tunajuana, hatuwezi cheza na maisha ya yule mwengine, nilicomplain sana kwa sababu ya tabia ya hao vijana,” he said.

Sudi demanded that Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai speed the investigation into political intolerance, claiming that there had been a lot of such heinous incidents around the country with no punishment done against the culprits.

“Ile siku Atwoli alisema William Ruto hatakuwa kwa ballot, wakati Aladwa alisema watu wengi watamwaga damu ndio Raila akuwe Rais, hakuna mtu alimsummon.. I am ready to go to Nakuru and record a statement… hii yote ni upuzi ya siasa.” he added.

According to Kositany, authorities should investigate the perpetrators of the attacks based on the statements of those apprehended rather than politicizing the situation.

After being summoned on Saturday, the two left Eldoret on Sunday for the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) regional office in Nakuru to record statements on the occurrence.

According to early findings, the three allegedly organized and coordinated the violence that was witnessed, according to the DCI.
