Susan Kihika Floors Lee To Clinch Nakuru Seat

Kihika defeated incumbent Lee Kinyanjui, who was running for reelection on a Jubilee ticket in a hotly contested race.

Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika has won the Nakuru gubernatorial seat on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket.

Kihika defeated incumbent Lee Kinyanjui, who was running for reelection on a Jubilee ticket in a hotly contested race.

Kihika is expected to be announced as the third governor of Nakuru County, after Kinuthia Mbugua (1st) and Lee Kinyanjui.

Kihika was elected Speaker of the Nakuru County Assembly in 2013, a position she held until 2017.

In 2017, she ran for the county’s Senate seat, which she won with 637,700 votes.
