Tanzania was plunged in deep mourning after the death of its leader yesterday. John Pombe Magufuli is the fifth President of Tanzania.
His predecessors are Julius Nyerere, Ali Hassan Mwinyi, Benjamin Mkapa and Jakaya Kikwete.
Prior to his death, only President Jomo Kenyatta had died on office in the region. This was on August 22nd 1978. Tanzania Government through its Vice President declared 14 days of mourning.
