Three American Missionaries Die In Grisly Road Accident In Narok

Three American citizens working with Child Refuge Centre International were killed in a horrific vehicle accident near the Ewasonyiro airstrip on the Narok-Maasai Mara Game Reserve Highway.

The three, who had been in Narok West running nine other facilities in the country, were heading from Narok town westward to Mara when they were involved in a head-on collision with a trailer truck.

They were on their way to Naroosura, where they operate community-based health initiatives.

The trio identified as Martin David Mueller, and Joy Marie Mueller both 61 years old, and Julie Esther Holman 33 years old ran about nine refuge centers in the country.

According to the police report, the accident occurred when a trailer made a wrong move while attempting to overtake the missionaries’ pickup truck resulting in a head-on collision with the three dying on the spot.

The missionaries’ wrecked vehicle was towed to Narok police station while a part of the trailer, which had foreign registration plates was still at the scene of the accident at the time of reporting.
