Three Dead As Car Explodes On Mombasa Road

A horrific car accident on the Nairobi – Mombasa Highway claimed the lives of three persons. 

The accident occurred in Sultan Hamud, Makueni County. 

Makueni County police commander Joseph Napeiyan said the occupants died on the spot as the car burst into flames. 

“It happened last night about 2130 hours, near Nairobi-Mombasa Highway,” according to a police report seen by the Star. 

The lorry driver escaped with minor injuries, according to the police chief, and was transferred to Kilome Nursing Home for treatment. 

The bodies were taken to the hospital’s mortuary.
