Tourists Flee After Lion Ambushes Them During Dinner

Tourists attending the OneLife Rally in Kenya, which pits drivers racing between Nairobi and Malindi, were forced to flee on Tuesday after a lion ambushed them while they were eating at Masai Mara National Park.

A video shared by the race organizers showed guests eating dinner under the shade of trees at the Mara, with a chef serving them.

Suddenly, a ranger appeared, warning everyone of an approaching lion. The ranger quickly instructed the tourists to return to the safari cars, which were parked just meters away.

“Take care. A lion is coming. Get into your vehicles. Faster,” the ranger stated.

In response to the warning, the tourists fled to safety, seeking refuge in vehicles such as game vans.

The organizers clarified in a statement that the Masai Mara stopover was planned as part of the race itinerary to allow tourists and participants to explore Kenyan wildlife, particularly the big five.

One of the guests, Milan Djordjevic Crni, responded to the incident on social media, sharing his experience and describing the incident as both terrifying and exciting.

“The best and the scariest experience ever,” he stated.

Fortunately, no one was hurt during the incident.

Nonetheless, a few of them expressed reservations, suggesting that the incident was a coordinated prank orchestrated by the rangers and rally organizers.

The One Life Rally, which began on October 28, is set to end on November 4.

The crew is travelling from Nairobi to Malindi in a convoy of luxury vehicles, including Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Porsche.
