The Ministry of Transport has applauded the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) during a visit to the prestigious Mau Mau Lot1 road project – By Gerald Gekara.
CS James Macharia who was accompanied by the DG KeNHA Eng. Peter Mundinia and the Mau Mau Road project implementation team to inspect the ongoing construction.
CS Macharia noted the project was within the said out timelines, urging local leaders and residents to cooperate with the contractor.
The project once complete will connect Kiambu, Muranga and Nyeri Counties.
The Mau Mau roads project will see the government construct 540 Kilometers of roads to connect Kenya’s rich farmlands.
The project will alleviate farmers profits whose bad roads have been the biggest hinderance to selling their produce.
The highway will be implemented at a cost of Sh 30 billion, with construction scheduled to take three years.
