Three well-liked categories in the competition are lifestyle hugging, speed hugging, and dedication embracing.

There is a new sport in town for those who might not be interested in traditional sport, tree-hugging.

Tree-hugging competitions are a relatively recent activity. Many people on the continent don’t even know that this sport exists.

Three well-liked categories in the competition are lifestyle hugging, speed hugging, and dedication embracing.

In speed hugging, the goal is to hug as many trees as you can in a minute to be crowned the winner. A contender must hug just one tree in less than five seconds to win the category.

Hugging out of devotion is the second category. The victor in this category will be determined by how passionately, respectfully, emotionally, and intentionally the competitors embrace the tree.

The last category is freestyle embracing, which requires a lot of imagination. Competitors must devise original and inventive ways to hug trees. They choose the kinds of trees they want to embrace on their own.

But according to the competition’s regulations, they can only hug one tree every 60 seconds, no matter how big or small. For instance, one participant might choose to hug a tree with his legs while another chooses to hug it from the back.
