IEBC To Avail Voter Registers Tomorrow

In May, the IEBC organized a nationwide verification operation to let eligible voters confirm their information.

As the election authority completed the deployment of registers to be attached at key locations in polling centres as required by law, eligible voters will begin verifying their information at the respective polling stations on Tuesday.

Juliana Cherera, vice chair of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), stated that preparations are being made to ensure that the registers are distributed to all 46,299 voting places by Tuesday’s end of the business.

Cherera stated, “Remember, seven days before the election, we affix the voter register outside the polling place, and by the close of business tomorrow, we should have finished on that particular task.

In May, the IEBC organized a nationwide verification operation to let eligible voters confirm their information.

The last set of ballots should arrive in the nation by August 3, according to the commission, who is blaming any delays on ongoing legal matters.

By August 6, all polling places would receive the ballots and boxes needed for the General Election on August 9th, according to IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati.
