Trump Guilty On All Counts; To Be Sentenced In July

Donald Trump was convicted on all 34 counts of falsifying business documents in his historic criminal trial in New York.

This is the first time a previous or current US president has been convicted of a felony.

He will be sentenced on July 11; the ex-president could face imprisonment, but legal experts say a fine is the more likely consequence.

Trump describes the verdict as a “disgrace” and insults Judge Merchan, who ruled over the case.

The verdict comes as he attempts to defeat Joe Biden in the November elections and return to the White House.

Over the course of six weeks, the court heard testimony from 22 witnesses, including Stormy Daniels, whose alleged sexual encounter with Trump was central to the case.
