On Wednesday night, former President Donald Trump announced the creation of a brand new social networking network.

According to reports, the new network will be called “TRUTH Social.”

“I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech,” Trump said in a statement.

“We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced. This is unacceptable. I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all. I’m excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech. Everyone asks me why doesn’t someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will be soon!”

Users may not “disparage, tarnish, or otherwise hurt, in our judgment, us and/or the Site,” according to TRUTH Social’s terms of service.

Other prohibited behaviors include impersonating another user, duplicating the site’s software, and using the site in an illegal manner.

The news came after months of speculation that Trump was considering starting his own platform after being banned from social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter for breaking their rules of service.

TRUTH Social is expected to go public in 2022.
