Trump Warns Putin of ‘Very Bad’ Consequences For Ceasefire Rejection

In a stern warning to Russian President Vladimir Putin, U.S. President Donald Trump has declared that rejecting a 30-day ceasefire agreement in Ukraine would result in severe financial consequences for Russia.

During a meeting with Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin in the Oval Office, Trump stated that the United States has already begun diplomatic efforts to push for an end to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The U.S. and Ukrainian governments recently reached an agreement on a ceasefire, putting pressure on Moscow to accept the terms.

“There are things that wouldn’t be pleasant in a financial sense,” Trump stated. “I can do things financially that would be very bad for Russia. I don’t want to do that because I want to get peace.”

Trump further revealed that American officials are en route to Moscow for discussions, signaling a possible diplomatic push to enforce the truce.

The Kremlin has indicated that it will not decide on the ceasefire proposal until it hears directly from the White House. Reports suggest that Putin may seek a face-to-face meeting with Trump in the coming months, potentially in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Russia has continued its aggressive military campaign, launching deadly missile and drone strikes across Ukraine. Recent attacks on the city of Kryvyi Rih resulted in multiple casualties, including the destruction of the Druzhba Hotel.

The international community is closely monitoring Russia’s response as pressure mounts to de-escalate the conflict.
